Venus Axe & the FlyTraps is technically a solo effort by Venus Lilith Axe a.k.a. Queen FlyTrap, who is the lead singer-songwriter and guitarist. FlyTraps are supporting musicians/artists. "Like Joan Jett & the Blackhearts," she said "I thought Venus Axe & the FlyTraps has a great ring to it!"

Queen FlyTrap combines punk rock blues and neo-psychedelia with mystical occultism imagery. Axe is currently trying to record her "witchy poo" demos that precede her debut EP entitled "Daemon in the Freezer." She hails from Washington, D.C.
